Cancellation policy
Hosts choose one of three standard policies when they list. Every listing shows its policy on the detail page.
Flexible
Full refund up to 7 days before check-in.
- Full refund of nightly cost + fees up to 7 days before check-in.
- 50% refund of nightly cost between 7 days and 24h before check-in.
- No refund after check-in for cancellations without a valid reason.
Moderate
Full refund up to 14 days before check-in.
- Full refund up to 14 days before check-in.
- 50% refund between 14 and 7 days before check-in.
- No refund within 7 days of check-in for cancellations without a valid reason.
Strict
Full refund up to 30 days before check-in.
- Full refund up to 30 days before check-in.
- 50% refund between 30 and 14 days before check-in.
- No refund within 14 days of check-in for cancellations without a valid reason.
Long stays (28 nights and over)
Long stays follow the same tiers, but refunds apply to the first month only. Subsequent months are billed monthly and can be cancelled by either side with 30 days' notice.
Extenuating circumstances
Travelers and hosts affected by serious illness, natural disaster, government travel restrictions or similar events can request a full refund through netStay support, regardless of the listing's policy.
