Community standards
Every traveler and host on netStay agrees to these standards. They apply equally to paid stays and to netStayCouch.
Respect
Treat everyone with respect, regardless of nationality, religion, gender, orientation, race or background. Harassment or discrimination results in removal from the platform.
Honesty
Hosts must describe their space and community truthfully. Travelers must introduce themselves truthfully and respect the reason they were welcomed.
Safety
Follow local laws, respect house rules, and do not put yourself or others at risk. Any suspicion of trafficking, abuse, or exploitation must be reported immediately.
Hospitality, not entitlement
A place to stay is a gift the host chooses to give — paid or unpaid. Hosts choose their guests, and guests contribute to the household.
No misuse of netStayCouch
Free hospitality is not free accommodation without social expectations. It's a relationship. Guests who treat it otherwise lose access.
Privacy
Do not share the personal details, address or photos of hosts or other guests without consent.
